UD at the Science Symposium

A group of 27 Upper Darby students presented at the annual Annenberg High School Science Symposium at Lankenau Hospital this week. The team received an award for the Best Description of Cutting Edge Technology for their presentation on Robot-Assisted Heart Surgery. Congratuations to all students for their informational presentation, creative video and rap, and excellent fielding of questions from the judges!

UD at the Flower Show!

Our Horticulture students and Ceramics students have done it again! Their entry in the 2016 Philadelphia Flower Show, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the National Parks, took home a 2nd place win in their category - a windowsill display with the title "Tiny Treasures." They chose to focus on the Southwest, specifically Bandolier National Monument. Congratulations to the students and teachers for, once again, making UD proud at the Flower Show!

Kyle Johnson is making a difference!

Students can often have a big impact by doing a lot of little things. Upper Darby High School Senior Kyle Johnson is a perfect example of this. Kyle is an incredible leader who has made an incredible difference at UDHS, all by doing the little things – participating in many activities both in and out of school and encouraging others to do the same. Kyle has helped build school spirit to new heights in the high school and appreciates all of the opportunities given to him as a result of attending one of the largest high schools in the Commonwealth. He epitomizes what it means to be an Upper Darby Royal and makes a difference each and every day.
