Girls Soccer Senior Night

The lady royals had their Senior/Breast Cancer night on Tuesday the eighteenth. In the first half Freshman Gabby Liberio scored off an assist from Junior Jaclyn Castell, the flawless goal put the girls up one against Ridley. While everyone played hard defense, the Raiders scored three lucky goals  to secure their win. Junior Sarah Jordan said, "We played a tough game but we all played together as a team, we communicated and played hard. Not only did we play for our senior but playing for 'pink' made us extra motivated." "Ana Santos was a first year player, being new she impressed me with her footwork.  She was a great fit to our team from day one and is a hard worker. We lost some leadership from last year, we started with no seniors but the returning players stepped upped, many players were asked to play new positions. Throughout the season everyone improved, and the incoming freshman added a lot to our team. They work hard from day one, and I'm looking forward to working with the 17 out of 18 returning players!" Coach Tara Burke said. Also shout out to the girls for their big win against Pottsgrove 3-2 on Monday!  Go out and support them tonight at Bonner Prendie as the take on the pandas.

UD School Board Student Representatives Take Harrisburg!

UD School Board Student Representatives Take Harrisburg!

On Thursday, October 13th, Upper Darby School Board Representatives Ghada Ayad and Joe Vizzarri attended the PASA-PSBA School Leadership Conference in Harrisburg, our state capital!

The duo stayed overnight, and the focus of the conference was to work with students in groups from other school districts in the Pennsylvania area. Each group was provided with a controversial topic, and were instructed to create a policy on their topics; then present them as a mock school board trial to attempt to pass their hypothetical policy.

Joe and Ghada were also named Rotary Students of the month in Upper Darby for the month of October! Upper Darby is nothing but proud to have such vocal and strong leaders to represent our district.
