Girls Cross Country take 7th Place at Delco Champs!

Dootleen Joseph leading the girls' varsity race

This Saturday the Girls' and Boys' Cross Country team traveled to Rose Tree Park to compete in this year's Delco Cross Country Championship, which consisted of twenty-two other schools residing in the Delaware County area. Stakes were high as the beloved UD teams faced off with their rival schools such as Bonner/Prendie, Cardinal O'hara, Haverford, etc.

The chilly weather took no toll on the teams as they pushed through to complete the difficult, muscle tiring Rose Tree course of 3.1 miles.

GIRLS

The Girls' Cross Country team finished the day with numerous personal bests and season bests. The first girls' UD JV team finisher was junior Blya Krouba, who was quickly followed by sophomore Alicia White.
Dootleen Joseph led the Varsity team and ran a speedy time of 20:13, finishing 12th place out of over one hundred-fifty girls.
